Friends Forever Quilled Card
Hello friends,
Welcome back after a long break. I was not keeping well and hence couldn’t upload
a post. But here I am today with another favorite card of mine.
It’s a simple
card I made for friendship day. With friendship day just around the corner on 4th of August in just 2 days, I thought
of sharing this easy and quick quilling card for your BFF.
You always gift your best friends gifts, chocolates and bands. Try making a handmade card this time. It really adds up the special touch to your friendship.
Front of the card |
This card
has the same fringed flower I shared about in my last post. For detailed
tutorial refer to my previous fringed flower bookmark post
For the base of the card I have used 120gsm Blue cardstock and a white paper doily of 5.5"
Over the paper doily I made a flap using 200gsm black cardstock.
Some details on the front of flap |
The flap in the front shows a picture of two girls holding hands. And once opened, it shows a quote inside stating "Friends are flowers in the garden of life."
Some details on the insides of flap. |
I have used
Eva punch for large butterfly in yellow and pink color with small pearls on it. For the small butterflies in purple I have used Jef punch.
The detail of inside and butterfly punch. |
The insides
have a triangular bunting banner with FRIENDS FOREVER written. All hand cut from colored
papers and tied on card using pink paper twine.
There is a poem dedicated to friendship in the inside leaves. The design on the sides are hand drawn and colored with glitter pens.

Quilling Details |
Quilling Details to notice
1. The fringed
flowers have been made using 10mm colored strips in Yellow, Blue and Pink. With a centre coil using 3mm
strips.
2. For the
leaves I have used 3mm green strip shaped in marquese.
3. For the pink and yellow small flowers, I have simply made tight
coils from 3mm strips and shaped them a bit to make a tight coil teardrop and
glued them together to make one flower with 5 petals.
4. With the help of black marker have made the
stems.
5. The green
grass is basically the fringed 10mm strip glued to the bottom of card.
There are
so many details in this simple card that I can point out since I made it with
so much efforts.
For any further detail I may have missed in this post please let me know. I would love to answer them and help in creating a card if you wish to.
P.S.- Post a credit link to my blog if my artwork inspires you to create a version of yours.
